G’mar Chatima Tova! Hope you all had meaningful and fulfilling High Holiday experiences.

Like last year, I spent Yom Kippur at Adas Israel. Was a worthwhile experience, particularly considering a special afternoon interview with recently appointed Israeli ambassador to the U.S., American-born Michael Oren. Very enlightening. A lot of politics talk, obviously, but it also strayed into American Judaism’s relationship with Israel, and yes, a little bit about Gd and atonement and having faith in the Jewish narrative, given its turns and pitfalls.

Back to the deliciousness, the young professionals broke our fast with a delectable spread of bagels, lox, other toppings, orange juice, coffee and desert. Yummeh. Even Yom Kippur breaks out the good stuff. 😛

But the holiday season ain’t over yet! Stick around next week for Sukkot. YP@AI will be having sushi and sumo in the sukkah (interesting culture blend) and J-Fed has it’s young professionals sukkah hop! Check out last year’s coverage here.
