Some of you may remember the Reverse Mifgash Retreat that I attended last September with 75 Birthright alums, American and Israeli alike. This wonderful weekend of learning, fun and friendship was brought to us by the wonderful people at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington—with a good deal of financial help.
In preparing for next year’s festivities, J-Fed has allowed us, the beneficiaries of their programming, lend a helping hand in fundraising—or “friendraising,” as they call it. This gives us a chance to appeal to our families and friends on a personal level, concerning the relationships that bloom from donating money to bring young adult Israelis to the States in order to hang with us in the D.C. community.
Check out my personal “friendraising” page here! And if you feel inclined, please make a donation to this worthwhile program.
In other news of local Jews branching out, Rachel Miller, formerly of The Jewish Study Center, is now in Thailand on an AJWS assignment. Check her out as she blogs her exciting travels! (And on a personal note—kudos to a fellow blogger for choosing WordPress. :D)
Stay tuned for a performance review later this week!
